How it Works

Step 1: Join

Sign up by completing the registration form (5 mins).

Step 2: Welcome Session

If you’ve not already done so, complete the 1 day Beginners Course which includes an induction. If you have already completed the Beginner’s day then come along to an orientation session where you’ll meet fellow enthusiasts, familiarise yourself with the workshop, and get a feel for the tools and equipment. It’s like the first day of a new adventure, with a chance to ask any burning questions and share your woodturning ambitions.

Step 3: Book Your Workshop Time

You’ll have supervised access to our workshop on non-teaching days. Simply have a look at our private online membership calendar, then select your preferred sessions to book your slot.

Step 4: Get Turning!

Once you’re in the workshop, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start turning. With a lathe, basic tools, chuck, and sandpaper at your disposal, you’ll have everything you need to transform a simple piece of wood into a work of art. And don’t worry, there’s always a friendly face around to offer guidance or a bit of cheeky encouragement.
