Handmade Wooden Wedding Ring Box

The box’s exterior, still covered with the rough bark, contrasts with the silky smooth interior making it wonderfully tactile to hold. The rich grain pattern of the yew and the contrasting dark heart wood and pale sap wood add to the box’s uniqueness.
Every part of the box is handmade including the wool felt inserts, which are made using British roving wool and dyed with natural plant dyes. The felt gently hold the rings securely in place. The box contains 2 felt inserts. A single ring insert and a double ring insert, so if you’re planning ahead this box can be used for the engagement and the wedding.
A strong, copper pin hinge allows the lid to swivel and the box to open. It also keeps the lid attached to the box making it more secure.
It’s finished inside and out with a natural, plant-based wax oil to protect and enhance the wood grain.

Make it Personal

The engraving is done by hand using a woodburning pen. This means the personalisation can be on the inside or the outside of the box. Each box also carries my maker’s mark, a heart, to show it was lovingly made. Please specify your chosen inscription, names, initials and/or date in the ‘order notes’ box at checkout.
