How to Use Tung Oil Blend Wood Finish
Prepare the Surface – Make sure the wood is clean, dry, and sanded smooth. Remove dust with a lint-free cloth.
Apply the First Coat – Use a clean cloth to spread a thin, even layer of Tung Oil Blend, working in the direction of the grain.
Penetration Time – Allow the oil to soak into the wood for 30–45 minutes.
Wipe Off Excess – Gently remove any excess oil with a clean, dry cloth.
Drying Time – Let the piece cure for 24 hours in a warm, dust-free space.
Build the Finish – Apply 3–5 coats for maximum water resistance and depth of colour, allowing 24 hours between coats.
Final Cure – For full hardness and water resistance, allow the finish to cure for 7–10 days before heavy use.
