Wooden Handfasting Plaque

Use this engraved, wooden plaque as a prompt during the ceremony for your vows. Then thread it onto your handfasting cord to turn them into a unique keepsake.

Made from locally sourced, sustainable wood. The natural edge design retains the full character of the tree.

Choice of wood

Trees have long-held associations and meanings in this country dating back to prehistory. The Celtic symbolic meaning of the Yew tree is change and transition, the new rising from the old, abiding strength, goals that take time and endurance to come to fruition. The Rowan represents success, the finding of wisdom and connection to personal power.

Choose your favourite, the one that complements your colour scheme or the season.

Your plaque is engraved by hand using a woodburning pen making it much more personal than a machine lasered one.  The choice of inscription is entirely personal and I can write whatever is specified, as long as it fits. Each plaque also carries my maker’s mark, a heart, to show it was lovingly handmade. Please specify your chosen inscription, names, initials and/or date in the ‘order notes’ box at checkout.

If you’re not sure if you’re inscription will fit please get in touch. I love to talk weddings and want to get your order absolutely spot on.
