Wooden Toy Demo & Creative Play Session with Liz

 Join a Play Date with me!

I know you’re a grown up but don’t let that stop you.
Drop in anytime through the afternoon between 2 and 5pm. We’ll put the kettle on and you can get playful trying out the array of wonderful, handmade wooden toys. Step back to a time before battery operated plastic toys and allow your sense of experimentation and curiosity to come out to play.

Get absorbed by:

  • the sensory experience of pushing the crafty cars through the natural home made (yummy smelling) play dough
  • seeing what tricks you can do with the easy peasy spinning tops
  • mastering the more tricky whipping tops
  • spinning your own pencil top drawing
  • creating your own Pipkind peg doll character just using your imagination and a selection of recycled materials and then take them home. 

 I’ll be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate some ‘expert’ techniques. All activities are free, except the Pipkind making. Prices between £9 – £11.

If you’d like to personalise any purchases, including Pipkinds, Liz will be running a ‘While You Watch’ personalisation service during the event. All personalisations are done freehand using a wood burning pen.

Shh!!! Discrete Christmas toy orders will be taken which include FREE SHIPPING AND PERSONALISATION.

The shop was this year’s winner of Best Village Shop in Britain. The courtyard cafe will be open and there’ll be loads of Eco friendly stalls inside and out. On top of that, there’ll be live music and a raffle.
